Leading Hotels of the World Get Competitive Edge with Duetto

Partnerships, collaborations, and digital transformation have never been more important to independent hotels than today. That is why Duetto is so proud of its recently announced preferred vendor status with The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), the world’s largest collection of independent luxury properties, with more than 400 member hotels in over 80 destinations.

Duetto, the first and only cloud-native RMS, was chosen for its advanced technology architecture, extensive integrations, and flexible solutions.

Already, several hotels from the LHW collection are running their revenue on Duetto, including the Victoria-Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa. The five-star hotel, affectionately known as ‘The Grande Dame of Swiss luxury hotels’, boasts a picturesque location in Interlaken.

Victoria-Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa adopted Duetto just as the pandemic was taking hold. Challenging times, but according to Annett Richter, Director of Revenue at Victoria-Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa, it was the right time to onboard.

“We started Duetto at the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis, not the best time we thought at first. But everything has developed positively. We were able to increase ADR and the revenue markups for more room categories. This would be impossible without a system like Duetto,” Richter explained.

Pricing Power

The Victoria-Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa boasts 216 rooms, including 106 Suites and Junior Suites, and operates more than 10 different room types in total. Its primary markets include the domestic market in Switzerland, the USA, GCC, and India.

Using Duetto, Richter and her team can price room types independently, and yield between categories, depending on the availability of each day. The result has been increased success in pre-selling suites.

Richter believes that the powerful combination of the LHW brand and the Duetto revenue strategy platform enables the Victoria-Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa to compete with the very best, including global brands with big marketing budgets.

“Our guests trust the LHW brand and through the affiliation, we benefit from various partnerships, such as Duetto,” Richter said. “The system checks our rates up to three times a day, which is a huge help.

“Independent hotels need to always make sure that they are up to date with their technology. Of course, this is not always easy, because larger hotel chains have different budgets. But if you focus on the right technology and invest in it, you will get a return on investment. You just have to keep that in mind.”

Make Better Pricing Decisions Faster

LHW is a collection of unique and bespoke properties, and as such, each property’s revenue strategy needs to be tailored to its distinctive offer. The Duetto platform enables hotel revenue teams to price all room types, channels, and dates independently of each other to maximize revenue. This makes Duetto the perfect solution for delivering bespoke revenue strategies for unique, high-yield, luxury hotels.

“Duetto’s innovative technologies enable our hotels to make better pricing decisions faster, leading to stronger performance and profitability,” said Michael Lederman, Vice President of Information Technology, The Leading Hotels of the World.
