We at Duetto Research, Inc. (“Duetto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) have created this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) because we know that you care about how information you provide to us is collected, used and shared. This Privacy Policy relates to the information collection and use practices of Duetto in connection with our Website, as well as your rights and choices about such collection and use.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. By visiting our Website, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Use.

The information we collect

Information You Provide to Duetto

To access or use certain features of the Website, such as posting a Comment or requesting Subscription to the Blog, you may be required to provide us with personal information about yourself, such as your name and email address. We also collect any additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to us, such as any information in your Comments, interests, and mailing list opt-in and opt-out information.

Information collected automatically

As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may  use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. Such information may include information about the device from which you access the Website, your IP addresses, browser type and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Website you visit, and similar information concerning your use of the Website.

The information we collect automatically helps us to improve the Website, including by enabling us to estimate our audience size and usage patterns; store information about your preferences, which allows us to customize the Website according to your individual interests; speed up your searches; and recognize you when you return to the Website.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection includes cookies. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. If you do not want the Website to place a cookie on your hard drive, you may be able to turn that feature off on your computer or mobile device. Please consult your Internet browser’s documentation for information on how to do this. However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, the Website may not function properly. When the Website is made available to you through third-party sites, please be aware that these other websites maintain their own policies regarding cookies and the collection and use of information. You are responsible for reviewing those policies.

Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to online services you visit. Note, however, there is no industry consensus as to what site and app operators should do with regard to these signals. Accordingly, we do not monitor or take action with respect to “Do Not Track” signals or other mechanisms. For more information on “Do Not Track,” visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

The information collected by or through third-party advertising companies

We may share information about your activity on the Website with third parties for the purpose of tailoring, analyzing, managing, reporting, and optimizing advertising you see on the Website and elsewhere. These third parties may use cookies, pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear gifs), and/or other technologies to collect such information for such purposes. Pixel tags enable us, and these third-party advertisers, to recognize a browser’s cookie when a browser visits the website on which the pixel tag is located in order to learn which advertisement brings a user to a given website.

Accessing and modifying personal information and communication preferences

If you have requested a Subscription to our Blog or posted a Comment on the Blog, you may review and make changes to your personal information by emailing us at security@duettocloud.com. In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any Duetto marketing email. We will process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.

How we use and share the information

We may use your information to solicit your feedback, to inform you about our products and services and those of our third-party marketing partners, and to improve our service to you.

In an ongoing effort to better understand our users and our Website, we may analyze your information in aggregate form in order to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Website. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. We may share this aggregate data with our affiliates, agents, and business partners. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our products and services to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include providing marketing assistance, order fulfillment, billing, and customer service. These other companies will be allowed access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law.

As we develop our businesses, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, or similar event involving the Duetto entity or its assets, your information may be part of the transferred entity or assets.

To the extent permitted by law, we may also disclose your information when required by law, court order, or other government or law enforcement authority or regulatory agency, or whenever we believe that disclosing such information is necessary or advisable, for example, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Duetto or others.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you provide will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, email sent to or from the Website may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email.

  • The right to object to our processing of your information for direct marketing purposes.
  • The right to receive your information from us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit your information to another controller without hindrance from us (data portability).

For purposes of the GDPR, we are a “controller” and you are a “data subject.”
