How Hotels Drive Profitability Through Duetto

Cornelio Encarnacion, Associate Director Customer Success, LATAM, and one of our Duetto Revenue Drivers, provides his top tips for boosting total profitability for hotels. From room-type pricing rules to creative packages built for profit. Here’s how:

Room Type Pricing Rules

With our Open Pricing philosophy, Duetto users can optimize and increase ADR at the room type level by incorporating the Start Event condition within our Room Type Pricing Rules. Start Event allows users to price rooms based on their remaining inventory. This strategy can be implemented for an individual room type or a combination of rooms, meaning that you can price them based on their unique inventory or another room’s availability. This will increase ADR, especially for those enhanced rooms, and ensures no upgrades are provided for free.

It is important to appeal to a local market within a resort destination by offering rates, packages, and promotions in their native currency. Duetto’s ability to deploy a fully dynamic strategy in more than one currency makes this very easy to set up and manage. Our GameChanger pricing application also manages market currency changes, ensuring exchange rates are always current, keeping your resort aligned with the market. Users also have the flexibility to accept or implement bespoke currency changes if these are pre-defined at a company level.

Packages are an excellent source of business and represent one of the highest bookable segments in resort destinations. Duetto’s Pricing Rule model allows users to dynamically price packages based on season and demand conditions, enabling rates to fluctuate in line with demand. Users can set parameters based on days before arrival, same time last year data, on the books, or other predefined conditions, to drive more business through creative packaging.
