Hospitality Marketplace To Drive Tech Awareness

Hoteliers, consultants, teachers from hospitality schools and 40 best in class technology providers, including Duetto, are coming together for a four-day virtual event at the start of December.

Hospitality Marketplace will take place on December 1-4, broadcast by Funnel TV – The Travel Tech Channel.

The event is organized by Diego Fernandez Perez De Ponga, Corporate Director of Revenue Management, Palladium Hotel Group; Enzo Aita of Funnel TV and HyperGuest, Simone Puorto from Travel Singularity and Federica Salvatori of Opium Creative Studio.

The four-day virtual event is divided into four themes:

  • Day one – Revenue
  • Day two – Distribution
  • Day three – Operations
  • Day four – Marketing

Targeted at an international audience, each day will start with a roundtable discussion followed by a diary of seminars that attendees can opt into.

The line-up of hotel industry speakers includes Marta Varela, Barcelo Hotel Group; Ludovic Cacciapaglia, HEDNA; Catarina Figueiredo, Pestana; and hotel consultants: Max Starkov and Thibault Catala, amongst others.

The ‘Just Pitch It’ element will see 40 tech companies pitching across the four-day event. Each tech provider will be given six minutes to present their product followed by six minutes to take questions from the audience.

“We’re hoping some of these questions will be tricky. It’s not a competition but we hope it feels like a ‘Hospitality’s Got Talent’ or the ‘Hotels X Factor’,” said De Ponga.

“We have judges from Spain, the USA, Italy, France and UK, and so on, so it's going to be a well-balanced event. It is for everyone.

“It’s going to be disruptive, but fun! We're going to have a great time,” he added.

Duetto will be represented at the event by Juan Ruano, Director of Hospitality Solutions for EMEA, and Ira Vouk, Senior Director of Product Management and author of “Revenue Management Made Easy, for Midscale and Limited-Service Hotels.”
