Duetto honors the life and legacy of Founder Marco Benvenuti.

SAN FRANCISCO — August 28, 2026 — Duetto, a leading provider of revenue and profit software for hotels, announces with sadness the passing of its Founder, Marco Benvenuti, following a three-year battle with cancer.

Marco founded Duetto in 2010 alongside Patrick Bosworth, starting as a two-person consulting operation before Craig Weissman joined soon after. Together, they built Duetto into a platform serving more than a thousand hotels and casinos worldwide. Under Marco’s leadership, Duetto's Open Pricing platform (within the GameChanger RMS) helped redefine how the hospitality industry approaches revenue management — replacing rigid, outdated pricing models with a smarter, more innovative way of reading demand.

Within a few years, the company grew from two people to more than 100 employees, and the product suite expanded to include ScoreBoard and BlockBuster alongside GameChanger.

Marco stepped back from day-to-day operations at Duetto in 2018. He remained closely involved afterward, serving on Duetto's board and as a trusted advisor through its acquisition in 2024.

Colleagues remember Marco as a one-on-a-kind innovator — disruptive, restless with new ideas, and insistent that every voice in the room mattered, regardless of title. He also introduced the unicorn, the playful, rebellious symbol he chose for Duetto's brand which continues on today.

"What Marco built here was never just a business," said Olly Lynch, Duetto's CMO. "It's a way of working, and a way of treating each other that's deeply embedded into Duetto's DNA. So many of our people count those years as the best of their careers, and we intend to keep building on what he started."

Marco built Duetto to be distinctive from day one. That spirit carries forward today: Duetto continues to push the hospitality industry forward as it builds a new category — the Revenue & Profit Operating System, and has grown from that early team of 100 to more than 350 employees. The product suite has also grown to include Advance, GameTime, and HotStats, alongside consistent updates to the core system the founders created.

Duetto extends its deepest condolences to Marco’s family, friends, and the many colleagues whose careers and lives he shaped.
