Duetto’s CEO, David Woolenberg, is to host the first in a new webinar series called ‘One World - One Industry - One Conversation’ on May 27. He will talk with leading revenue experts from across the global about how they are dealing with the current crisis, and their plans for moving forward in a post-COVID world.
“We want to share with our customers and the industry at large the latest thinking and planning to help hoteliers bounce back from the unique challenges that we're facing today,” he says.
In the first edition, which broadcasts on May 27, David talks to:
Ivan Kalinov, Group Director of Revenue Strategy, The Dedica Anthology
Based in Milan, Dedica Anthology is a group of eight iconic properties operating in key European cities: Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Budapest, and Prague.
“We provide hospitality with a subtly Italian attitude,” says Kalinov.
Talking on revenue management, he says: “We focus on world class tech, a mix of Duetto and we associate with the Autograph Collection by Marriott and their systems.”
And on the current situation: “I’m curious to see what is coming in the years ahead; it’s definitely going to be interesting!”
Jutta Moore, Managing Director, Moore Consulting
Moore Consultancy is based in London, working with international luxury and lifestyle hotels. The consultancy project manages systems implementations, revenue management optimisation, and outsourcing, for groups and independents.
“I've been very sad in March when I had to help closed down quite a few properties and now it's getting a bit more exciting when we can start opening back up,” says Moore.
Steven Gottlieb, Vice President Revenue Management & eCommerce, Graduate Hotels
Steven Gottlieb brings 15 years of revenue management experience to the conversation, having started with Marriott and Ritz Carlton before moving into independent hotels with Morgan's Hotel Group and joining Graduate Hotels two years ago.
Graduate Hotels have 23 hotels currently open, with plans to grow to 100 properties in the US and UK.
“Our hotels are located in university anchor towns where we really celebrate the spirit and nostalgia that comes during university days,” Gottlieb explains.
Hot topics up for debate include:
- How the hotel industry has changed over the last few months, and how the industry is building consumer confidence and trust back up.
- How is this crisis different or similar to others in the past? What strategies did hotels use then that might be applicable now?
- How hotels will adapt operations to the new normal?
- Bookings, reservations and outlook for the remainder of 2020 and 2021.
